Do you have one? A clear vision? What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you really want to do? What would you do all the time if you could do anything you wanted? Those are the personal sides of vision, but what about for your department or company? If you don’t know, find out what the company goals are then figure out the vision for how your department can best support that in a cost effective manner. There are many resources for developing a vision and plan on the internet. Most are about the same so just pick one or two and start there. Make sure that your weekly review and daily review reflect this vision and make progress towards it.
